PowerBee is a trusted partner guiding companies through their energy transition. Our name is inspired by the incredible eyesight of a bee, which can see more colors than the average human. Like a bee, we also look beyond: we map out your energy needs, now and in the future.

Dieter Broes
Founder & Energy Enthusiast

After obtaining my engineering degree and my MBA from Vlerick, I fairly quickly started my career as an entrepreneur at WinWatt, a company active in the solar panel, charging station and battery business for both B2C and B2B customers. Under my leadership, WinWatt quickly grew into a leading player (Be – Lux) with over 10,000 projects completed.
In 2018, WinWatt was acquired by TotalEnergies, after which I was able to further develop my expertise. I worked for 5 years on strategic missions on electric vehicles and energy services, including a year in Paris.
Bolstered by my experience and passion for entrepreneurship, I founded PowerBee. I believe that my broad industry knowledge and strategic insight will allow me to provide valuable services to my clients and contribute to a sustainable future.

Maarten Landuyt
Head of Business Operations

After studying electromechanical engineering at UGent, I started my career in the IT sector as a consultant at Accenture. For seven years, I gained valuable project experience at multinational companies in Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris. This experience stimulated my entrepreneurial spirit, and together with a former colleague I founded Skryv.
At Skryv, we developed a low-code platform focused on digital government services. As operational leader of Skryv, I made sure we built the team and processes to consistently meet our customers’ expectations. We grew to a team of 15 employees and worked with various departments of the Flemish and Brussels governments.
After the successful sale of Skryv, I was ready for a new challenge. At PowerBee, I found the ideal environment to apply my operational expertise to the energy transition. PowerBee helps SMEs transition to renewable energy, contributing to a more sustainable world, a mission I fully support. I am committed to creating value for our customers and making a positive contribution together with PowerBee.

Vincent Verhaeghe
Sales Director

After studying International Marketing, I started my career in the chemical sector, where I worked for 10 years as Business Developer for Brenntag nv in the Belux. In this role, I was responsible for developing the AdBlue market and maintaining strategic relationships in Belgium and Luxembourg.
I then moved to the fuel sector, where I worked for 5 years as Sales and Retail Manager at G&V Energy Group, Belgium’s largest independent petroleum company. Here I was not only responsible for sales, but also played an important role in expanding the network of gas stations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France.
My next step took me to the energy market, where I started working at Scholt Energy, an energy supplier for industry. What started as a small team of 3 people grew – after 8 years under my leadership – into a close-knit team of 35.
When I came in contact with Dieter Broes and PowerBee’s holistic approach, I was immediately convinced that my experience in sales and team development would be a valuable addition to the company. I strongly believe in working customer-oriented and making long-term choices. I am therefore very much looking forward to working with the team to shape PowerBee’s future and create new opportunities.

Before joining PowerBee, I worked for years in recruiting and consulting. There I learned to listen, to ask questions and to really understand people. I use that experience today to guide companies in their energy story. Because every business is different, as are the people behind it.
I like clear conversations and concrete results. No woolly statements but advice that is true to the reality on the ground. No grand promises but steps that make a difference today.

Jonathan Luyckx
AI & Technology Advisor

After graduating as a civil engineer in computer science from KU Leuven, I began my career as an independent entrepreneur with a strong focus on AI and data-driven innovation. Attracted by the power of technology to create real business value, I focus on building bridges between advanced AI solutions and concrete results.

During my career, I have managed teams in both start-ups and larger organizations. My experience included experience at McKinsey & Company, where I guided digital transformations, and at Cegeka NV, where I led large programs with a focus on AI and low-code. As IT Director at OPENLANE (formerly ADESA Europe), I then led an international team of more than 70 IT professionals, with achievements in AI-driven price forecasting and innovative remarketing platforms.
In 2024, I took another step by founding Digital Brain Builders: an AI consultancy focused on translating cutting-edge models and methodologies into practical business solutions. My focus is not only on the technological aspects, but also on organizational development, change management and sustainable results.
At PowerBee, I use my expertise to accelerate the energy transition through AI-driven insights and solutions. I strongly believe in the power of data and technology to help organizations optimize their Total Cost of Energy, and look forward to working with the team at PowerBee to provide innovative, future-proof answers to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

With several years of hands-on experience in energy services in Belgium and a background in IT in India, I have managed diverse projects such as carbon studies and energy audits for both industrial and corporate clients. I get energy from organizing teams, collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors and translating technical insights into solutions that really work for our clients.
With a master’s degree in renewable energy and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, I am driven to turn complex issues into clear, achievable and forward-looking actions.
At PowerBee, I build on my technical knowledge and experience in the field. I enjoy working closely with clients who are finding their way in a rapidly changing energy world. ‘He who does not dare, he who does not win’. That is the spirit in which I have always wanted to develop. I started quite young as an entrepreneur. First I worked in a sales and marketing position for a Dutch IT group. A few years later, at the age of 27, I got the opportunity to set up the Belgian branch of Dell Computer.
A great experience that I was able to relive 4 years later at ARINSO. I helped this SAP consulting company grow from 10 employees in Belgium to a group of 2,700 employees in almost 25 countries. From 2007, I became an investor in numerous start-ups.
From 2009, I was a shareholder of Winwatt together with Dieter, among others. Today I am delighted to be part of this new company.
